Twilight Carnival 2025!

Twilight Carnival

Twilight Carnival is a holiday celebrating the founding of the Root Logic! It highlights the delicate balance of give and take the Alurizians and the planet participate in daily.

It is said that long ago on the eve of the Reserve’s founding, Alurizans wore long hooded coverings and masks to ward off the Blight’s plague. Their clever disguises are what allowed them to win the war. These days, it's not known if that is truth or legend, but the tradition continues, and many Alurizans sport varying costumes as they navigate the Carnival grounds.

Due to the memory of hardship after the war, Alurizans are reminded to be thankful throughout the month with many small gestures, such as the tradition of giving small gifts to loved ones or those you appreciate. Gifts are often hand-crafted goodies, like homemade treats, small carvings or paintings, handmade pottery, etc. but gifts can really be anything the individual wants to give.

Alurizans may also find a bounty of wonderful traditional recipes cooked up with all the harvested food and foraged ingredients. Some dishes can only be tried during the Carnival due to harvesting limits on wild fungi and nuts. Excess produce and forage is always shared with the wild areas, providing a pre-winter source of food to many animals and fertilizing the land.

Twilight Carnival is a month-long celebration, and so these features of food, gifts, and costumes continue throughout the entire month.

The evening air may be brisk, but the warmth of the Twilight Carnival calls all out for celebration and fun! Taking a stroll down one of the many streets of downtown, you'll find bustling market shops decorated in the traditional harvest colors and adorned with spectacle artwork in the form of eye-catching Lantern Fruit carvings.

Event Currency & Collectables

Glim

LUX

Lux, a small coin fashioned from a Lantern Plant's hardy dried stem, is the preferred currency  of the Twilight Carnival. It carries a faint glow along with a scent reminiscent of the produce's savory flavor.

This coin can be exchanged for a variety of event specific items at the Lux Mart shop or saved between events.

Collectables

Spend your lux wisely; each player can only craft one of each Carnival Collectable using the Blueprints available in Lux Mart.

Each Carnival Collectable is needed in order to trade them for the Twilight Carnival Badge. This means that to start, you will only be able to collect either the Badge or the Collection Set, not both! You'll have to return to next year's Twilight Carnival in order to complete the other collection.✨

A special set of collectables are available during the event!

Crafting, & Foraging!

All players will be able to claim free weekly Carnival Gift at the Lux Mart - open them for a chance at rare currency and more!! Additionally, users can use blueprints to craft additional Carnival Gifts! Log in daily to forage and get all items needed to craft them.

Each Carnival Gift always contains:
Each Carnival Gift will also contain 1 of the following:

Crafting

The Crafting System and Blueprints allow you to assemble your foraged items into bigger, better items using ARC Lab's MAKR Machine. In each Carnival Gift you will find various items, such as limited-time Seasonal Produce, event currency, and everyone's favourite element: Astatine! Start crafting your Carnival Gift and see how luck rewards you!

Blueprints can be purchased the with event currency, Lux, in the Lux Mart shop.

Tool Kit

This small faux-suede pouch contains a few common tools and is useful in either fixing or creating new trinkets. A helpful tool kit is necessary in order to craft several of the Carnival Collectables, and unlike other recipe ingredients, it is not single-use only! You can purchase your own at the Lux Mart.

❗️ Before you start crafting! ❗️

Some recipes take multiple ingredient varieties, such as any produce item. Please make sure you are using the items you wish to use before you click 'craft' so you do not lose out on an item you want to hold on to! The crafting system will automatically select random items for these multi-item ingredient recipes, so you must double check to make sure it selects the ones you want to use and deselect the ones you do not want to use. We know this is a bummer, but it is an issue with the UI of the LoreKeeper Crafting extension and is completely out of our control.

We strongly recommend transferring any items you do not want to use in crafting to the inventory of a character, either a Xero or a Boolew, if you can! This will keep the items safe.

❗️ We will not be able to restore items for those who use them mistakenly, so please be careful when crafting. ❗️

Returning Seasonal Fruit

Available all month in the Lux Mart!

Virgule Mushroom, Harvest Fairy, and Sugar Drop all make a return!

Users can purchase 1 of each fruit in the Lux Mart. Additional fruits can be won at Jackpot Planet or found in Carnival Gifts!

Event Foraging Location!
To help you find the items you'll need to craft Carnival Gifts and other event items, we have a temporary Foraging location: Autumn Path!
This location only drops items needed for event crafting recipes and activities, as well as a rare chance for Astatine, Orbits and Comet Clusters.
